NV Energy Supports Statewide Organizations with More Than $1.2 Million in Grants during Second Quarter 2012

During the second quarter of 2012, the NV Energy Foundation contributed more than $1.2 million, including multi-year commitments, to organizations statewide. Grants were given to southern Nevada organizations including the UNLV Foundation, Three Square, Nevada Ballet Theatre, United Way of Southern Nevada and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas. Northern Nevada organizations that received grants include the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada, Western Nevada College Foundation, The Nature Conservancy and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elko.

Each quarter, the NV Energy Foundation contributes funds to help local nonprofit organizations in northern and southern Nevada. Grants are focused on five philanthropic areas: education, the environment, youth development, arts and multi-cultural outreach and health and human services. For more information please visit nvenergy.com/community.
