Nov. 9, 2012 – During the third quarter of 2012, the NV Energy Foundation contributed more than $474,000, including multi-year commitments, to nonprofit organizations statewide. Grants were given to southern Nevada organizations including DISCOVERY Children’s Museum, Spread the Word Nevada, Southern Nevada Public Television and Vegas PBS, Junior Achievement and Goodie Two Shoes. Northern Nevada organizations that received grants include the Nevada Discovery Museum, Air Racing Foundation, Boy Scouts of America, Nevada Area Council, Gathering Genius, Inc. – Nevada STEM Coalition and the Access to Healthcare Network.

Each quarter, the NV Energy Foundation contributes funds to help local nonprofit organizations in northern and southern Nevada.
