During the first quarter of 2013, the NV Energy Foundation contributed $389,000, including multi-year commitments, to nonprofit organizations statewide. Grants were given to southern Nevada organizations including the Smith Center for the Performing Arts, United Way of Southern Nevada, College of Southern Nevada Foundation, Cultural Diversity Foundation, Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada and the Assistance League of Las Vegas. Northern Nevada organizations that received grants include DRI GreenPower Program, American Red Cross – Northern Nevada Chapter, Nevada Museum of Art, Imlay Safe Haven Rescue Zoo, Winnemucca Senior Center, Tahoe Rim Trail and Virginia City Community Chest.

Each quarter, the NV Energy Foundation contributes funds to help local nonprofit organizations in northern and southern Nevada.
