Solar Heating Workshop for Contractors on April 23

NV Energy’s RenewableGenerations program is hosting a free technical workshop on Wednesday, April 23, for licensed contractors interested in learning how to install solar-powered water, space and pool heating equipment.

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Renewable Energy Deployment and Display Facility (REDD) Facility at the Desert Research Institute campus, 2215 Raggio Parkway in Reno. Space is limited. Please RSVP by emailing tlynch@nvenergy.com  or call 866-786-3823. Lunch will be provided.

The workshop instructor will be Russ Cartwright, a Nevada-based solar industry professional with more than 30 years of experience. This one-day class will cover all aspects of solar thermal installation, including site assessment; system sizing, design and installation; tips for faster installation and maintenance. Attendees will also have an opportunity to tour the multiple thermal and other renewable energy technologies located at the REDD Facility.

After successfully completing the workshop and submitting required program documentation, participating contractors will be eligible to install solar water, space and swimming pool heating systems for NV Energy’s RenewableGenerations incentive program.

Customers who participate in the program are required to use the eligible contractors listed on the NV Energy website.
