NV Energy is bringing a whole new meaning to the term power tools. New options will help customers know how much energy they use each week and provide detailed information on power outages.

By signing up for MyAccount at nvenergy.com, customers are able to receive Weekly Billing Summaries or receive reminders when their bill reaches a designated dollar amount. These messages, which are sent via email or text, include the amount of energy used and the cost to date for the current billing cycle.

“Our goal is to create value for our customers by giving them more options to manage their energy use and save money,” said Pat Egan, NV Energy Senior Vice President of Customer Operations. “We are excited to offer Weekly Billing Summaries to eliminate the surprise that can come with a customer’s monthly bill.”

And customers no longer have to be in the dark about power outages. NV Energy’s new Outage Center at nvenergy.com will notify MyAccount users via email or text when an outage occurs at their home. A new detailed outage map, which is updated regularly, provides statewide information on outage locations, the number of customers affected and an estimated time of restoration. Customers can also report an outage through the Outage Center.

“NV Energy is one of the most reliable utilities in the nation, but power outages due to weather, accidents or equipment issues can sometimes occur,” said Egan. “Customers will now have access to the same information we have about an outage at their home or business. This same technology also allows us get our customers restored more quickly.”

Tutorial videos that explain these new tools are available at nvenergy.com.

In addition to the new Weekly Billing Summaries and Outage Notification Center, customers can access an array of tools via MyAccount that can further help them manage energy use and save money.
