Board Members Re-elected at Sierra Pacific Resources' Shareholders' Meeting

Shareholders re-elected three members of Sierra Pacific Resources' (NYSE: SRP) Board of Directors today at the company's annual shareholders' meeting in Las Vegas.
Re-elected to three-year terms were Walter M. Higgins, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Sierra Pacific; James R. Donnelley, chairman of PMP, Inc., a publishing/distribution company; and John F. O'Reilly, chairman and chief executive officer of the law firm of Mangels, Butler, Marmaro & O'Reilly. Sierra Pacific Resources' Board of Directors has 11 members.
Headquartered in Nevada, Sierra Pacific Resources is a holding company whose principal subsidiaries are Nevada Power Company, the electric utility for southern Nevada, and Sierra Pacific Power Company, the electric utility for most of northern Nevada and the Lake Tahoe area of California, and a natural gas and water distributor in the Reno-Sparks area. Other subsidiaries include the Tuscarora Gas Pipeline Company, which owns 50% interest in an interstate natural gas transmission partnership, and Sierra Pacific Communications, a telecommunications company.
