Sierra Pacific Resources to Webcast Analysts' Meeting Nov. 3 Following Third Quarter Earnings Call

Sierra Pacific Resources (NYSE: SRP) will present a live webcast of its Friday, Nov. 3, securities analysts' meeting in Las Vegas. The event will begin at 8 a.m. (Pacific Standard Time) immediately following the company's 7 a.m. third quarter 2006 financial results conference call and webcast.

Among the speakers at the meeting will be Sierra Pacific's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Walter Higgins, and Michael Yackira, the company's executive vice president and chief financial officer. They'll review the financial results and the company's overall business strategy.

Roberto Denis, corporate senior vice president of Energy Supply, and his senior management team, will describe the company's efforts to expand power supplies with construction of new generating plants, including a proposed $3 billion coal-fired power complex in eastern Nevada that would provide electricity to customers statewide.

In addition, Jeff Ceccarelli, who serves as corporate senior vice president, Service Delivery and Operations, and as president of Sierra Pacific Power Company, will explain what the company is doing to provide the additional power transmission and distribution facilities required to serve the fastest growing state in the nation.

Sierra Pacific Treasurer William Rogers will describe how the company is financing its growth in Nevada.

Guest speakers will include Hezy Ram, executive vice president of business development for Ormat Technologies, who will discuss the growth in renewable energy in Nevada. His company designs, builds, owns and operates geothermal power plants, including several in northern Nevada.

Kevin Sullivan, senior vice president and chief administrative officer for Echelon Resorts, a planned mega-resort on the Las Vegas Strip, will provide an insider's look at the continued growth of Nevada's resort industry.

The presentations will be followed by a question and answer period.
