PUCN Sets Consumer Sessions for Sierra Pacific Power

The Public Utilities Commission of Nevada (PUCN) has scheduled numerous consumer sessions throughout northern Nevada over the next two months to allow customers the opportunity to comment on Sierra Pacific Power Company's recent filing of a general rate case with the PUCN.
The filing requested an overall 3.96 percent increase for all customer classes, but would result in a 2.5 percent decrease for the typical residential customer using 715 kilowatt hours of electricity, or $2 per month. The total amount of the request is $28 million.
The sessions are scheduled for the following dates and locations:
Monday, February 4, 2002, at 6 p.m.Customers who cannot attend the meetings may submit comments in writing to the PUCN at 1150 East William Street, Carson City, NV 89701-3109. Copies of the filing are available for review by the public during normal business hours at Sierra Pacific's business offices at 6100 Neil Road in Reno, or at the PUCN's offices in Carson City.
