Randy G. Harris, formerly general manager of Sierra Pacific Power Company's Transmission Services Business Group, has been elected to the position of vice president, Energy Marketing Business Group, by the Sierra Pacific board of directors. Harris joined the utility as a student engineer in 1974 and has held a series of engineering positions over the years. He has a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno.

In his new post he will report directly to Sierra Pacific Chairman, President and CEO Walter M. Higgins.
