Jeffrey L. Ceccarelli was named vice president of the Distribution Services Business Group for Sierra Pacific Power Company in February 1998. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1976, and is a registered professional engineer.

In his new position, Ceccarelli is responsible for the operation of Sierra Pacific Power's electric, natural gas and water distribution systems, including new business development, planning, construction, maintenance and emergency response.

Ceccarelli has 25 years of utility experience with Sierra Pacific. He served as director of Customer Operations since 1996 and was previously director of Engineering and Operations. Ceccarelli has held management positions in customer service, civil engineering and construction, gas and water design and planning, and transmission design. He joined Sierra Pacific in 1972 as a student engineer.

Ceccarelli and his wife, Rhonda (Bell) Ceccarelli ('83, Education;'94, Marriage&Family Counseling), reside in Reno with their two daughters, Jessica and Angela.
