Electrical substation maintenance planned by Sierra Pacific Power will result in a brief power outage for some Douglas County residents early Sunday morning, Oct. 17. The outage will affect residents in the Johnson Lane, Stephanie Way and Fish Springs Flat areas and possibly Genoa, according to Bob Arigoni, operations manager for the utility's Carson District.

Electrical substation maintenance planned by Sierra Pacific Power will result in a brief power outage for some Douglas County residents early Sunday morning, Oct. 17. The outage will affect residents in the Johnson Lane, Stephanie Way and Fish Springs Flat areas and possibly Genoa, according to Bob Arigoni, operations manager for the utility's Carson District.
The outage will last for approximately 5 to 15 minutes between 3 to 5 a.m. while work is completed at the Buckeye Substation, which is located east of Highway 395 about halfway between Johnson Lane and Minden-Gardnerville.
