Nevada Power recently received 2nd place in the Mobius Advertising 29th International Awards Competition for its"Part Of The Landscape" television campaign. The award, given in the public utilities services category, recognized"Part Of The Landscape - Alien","Part Of The Landscape - Donkey", and"Part Of The Landscape - Rabbit" as superior efforts in television advertising.

"We are pleased to be recognized by such a prestigious organization," said Michael Niggli, president and chief executive officer of Nevada Power."Our campaign was intended to communicate a message of commitment and customer service to the southern Nevada community. It is exciting to know we achieved this goal in a fun, imaginative way."

The Mobius Advertising Awards honor outstanding advertising for television, radio, print and package design. Entries were received from 36 countries.

An official award ceremony will be held February 9, 2000 in Chicago.
