Nevada Power recently sponsored 44 local students during the opening session of Leadership Las Vegas Youth, a series of seminars sponsored by the Greater Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce (GLVCC) Foundation aimed at familiarizing youth with the community and demonstrating how leaders make a difference.

Featured speakers during the opening session included Tom Madden of the Accelerated Learning Institute and Training Center and Betty Mahalik of Dynamic Solutions. Each presenter focused on leadership, building a team, and recognizing different leadership styles.

Toni Artz, GLVCC Foundation coordinator, said Nevada Power is instrumental in the leadership program."Nevada Power has provided their facility, meals for the students during seminars, and photographed the students for the annual yearbook. Their generosity is noteworthy, and we look forward to another successful year," Artz said.

Nevada Power provides electricity and energy services to more than 1.4 million residents of Las Vegas and Southern Nevada and is the nation's fastest growing electric utility.
