Recently, Nevada Power Company President Steve Rigazio accepted the Latin Chamber of Commerce Award of Distinction on behalf of the Company. The award was presented at the Chamber's 15th Annual Awards Banquet, held this year at the Luxor Hotel.

This award is traditionally presented to a corporation or other organization which has made exceptional strides in terms of contributions to the Hispanic community. Nevada Power was chosen this year due to the company's corporate citizenship efforts, which include support of the Hispanic community.

"Receiving this award from the Latin Chamber of Commerce is an honor," said Steve Rigazio, President of the company."The Chamber's positive and motivational leadership has made it one of the foremost organizations in southern Nevada."

The Latin Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of nearly 700 members, many of whom are small business owners. The Chamber provides assistance on opening business and accessing capital, and links members-to-members through many events held throughout the year.

Nevada Power Company has several employee members of the Latin Chamber of Commerce who actively support the Chamber and Chamber-related events.
