Sierra Pacific's Web Site Gets High Marks From Internet Experts

The latest edition of"Off-Line" magazine, a publication that covers the Internet for investor relations professionals, has named Sierra Pacific Resources'Web site to its list of"Top 25 Web Sites for Investor Relations." Sierra Pacific's Web site was ranked 22nd, based on its timeliness, content, design, interactivity and other factors. Among the top Web sites named were those produced for Intel, Silicon Graphics, Texas Instruments, AT&T, Netscape Communications and Dell Computer.

The review of Sierra Pacific's Web site noted that the"site's colorful design and clear prose creates a friendly, helpful ambiance." The site was designed by Aztech Cyberspace of Reno, an Internet consulting firm.

Among the items located at Sierra Pacific's Web site are financial and statistical reports, the company's annual report, press releases, and profiles of the board of directors and officers.

According to"Off-Line," the Top 25 list reflects"the most comprehensive ongoing study of Investor Relations Web sites yet undertaken, encompassing more than 3,500 separate'visits'to over 2,000 Web sites in 220 countries to date." The goal of the study is to determine which companies do the best job of using the Web to keep shareholders and analysts informed. The rankings are updated quarterly.
