Sierra Pacific Resources'newly-merged utilities, Sierra Pacific Power Company and Nevada Power Company, will be holding job fairs at their respective headquarters in Reno and Las Vegas on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The job fairs will be open to the general public and the utilities'employees.

Close to 200 positions will be offered in such areas as accounting, engineering, marketing, telecommunications and research, among others.

The job offerings became available as the result of a recent re-staffing at both companies that created numerous vacancies. This is the final step in the re-staffing process, which can provide quality jobs for Nevadans. The two utilities were officially merged on July 28.

The Reno Job Fair will be held in the Sierra Pacific auditorium, 6100 Neil Road in south Reno. The Las Vegas Job Fair will take place at Nevada Power's Pearson Building cafeteria, 6226 W. Sahara Avenue in southwest Las Vegas.

Representatives from the utilities'Human Resources departments and hiring leaders will be on hand to answer any questions regarding the positions, duties, benefits or salaries.
