Brad Woodring has joined Sierra Pacific Power's Economic Development Department. As the utility's Economic Development Executive, he will have responsibility for helping attract new companies to northern Nevada, especially to Reno suburban areas and rural communities.

For the past 10 years, Woodring has been with First American Title Company of Nevada in Reno, where he was vice president in charge of the national commercial services division for the northern Nevada region.

“Brad is a valuable addition to the company,” explained Grant Sims, economic development manager for Sierra Pacific. “He has a wealth of experience in real estate development, and has worked with communities to help recruit new business to northern Nevada.”

A native of Colton, Calif., Woodring moved to Reno from southern California 22 years ago. He earned a bachelor's degree in communications from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, Calif., in 1979. He has four children and he is a past president of the Reno Central Rotary Club and serves on the Board of Trustees for Western Industrial Nevada.
