NV Energy Receives 10th Annual Governor’s Points of Light Award for

NV Energy was this year’s recipient of the prestigious Governor’s Points of Light Awards for Corporate Volunteer Programs. The award recognizes companies and their employees who are committed to active volunteerism and serving communities throughout the state of Nevada.

NV Energy takes pride in its long standing role as a community partner. Standing behind NV Energy’s philanthropic involvement are hundreds of dedicated employees who volunteer to support a multitude of important causes and organizations in Nevada. Last year, NV Energy employees gave more than 24,000 hours of community service, far surpassing the corporate goal of 22,000 hours. NV Energy employees serve on nonprofit boards representing over 140 different agencies across the state. 

The Governor’s Points of Light Awards recognizes individuals and businesses for their dedication and commitment to strengthening communities through the giving of their time and talent on a regular basis. It’s the highest honor bestowed by Nevada Volunteers, the governor’s commission on service, with the purpose of inspiring others to make a positive impact in the lives of people who need it most and in the places where it truly makes a difference.
