NV Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NVE) has announced the election of Tom Fair as
vice president, Renewable Energy, and Kevin Geraghty, as vice president,
Power Generation, effective immediately.
Fair, whose previous title was executive, Renewable Energy, has been in
charge of the company’s growing renewables energy department since
February 2006. He joined NV Energy as director of Environmental Affairs
in 2004.
Geraghty’s previous title was executive, Generation, a position he has
held since joining the company in June 2008.
Both Fair and Geraghty, who continue to report to Roberto Denis, Senior
Vice President, Energy Supply, have extensive utility industry
experience.
Prior to joining the company, Fair held a number of executive positions
in renewables development and environmental affairs with such companies
as Florida-based FPL Energy and Niagara Mohawk over a 36-year career.
Geraghty spent 21 years with Allegheny Energy Supply before joining NV
Energy. During his career with Allegheny, he directed generation
facilities and regions throughout the nation, including several years in
the Southwest. While stationed in Goodyear, Ariz., he was responsible
for implementing the company’s power projects in the western United
States.
