NV Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NVE) today announced that Stephen E. Frank,
long-time utility industry leader who served as chairman, president and
CEO of Southern California Edison from 1995 until his retirement in
2002, has been elected to NV Energy’s board of directors, effective
immediately.
Frank, whose career has included top management, as well as directorship
positions with major corporations throughout America, was president and
chief operating officer of Florida Power and Light Company, as well as a
director of FPL Group, the parent company, from 1990 until 1995. Other
management positions held during his career have included executive vice
president and CFO of TRW Inc., and vice president, controller and
treasurer of GTE Corporation.

available to our company and board of directors, but also his breadth of
knowledge gained in a variety of diversified industries and
organizations,” said Michael Yackira, NV Energy’s president and chief
executive officer.
A resident of Reno, Nevada, Frank currently serves on the boards of
Northrop Grumman Corporation, Aegis Insurance Services, Inc., Washington
Mutual, Inc., and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In recent years, he has
served on the boards of Puget Energy, Inc., Edison International, and
Intermec, Inc.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College, an MBA in finance
from the University of Michigan, and completed the Advanced Management
Program at Harvard Business School. Frank was named a Class of 2008
Outstanding Director by the ODX Outstanding Directors Program.
