NV Energy customers can do one simple thing this Earth Day to go green... convert to paperless billing. The utility has set a goal to enroll 100,000 customers currently receiving paper bills into its online paperless billing program this year, which when met, will save 48 tons of paper and eliminate the emissions equivalent to 70 passenger cars annually. Customers can help the environment even more by also choosing to pay their bill online.

"Conserving natural resources is an important initiative for NV Energy," said Bruce Bullock, executive of customer service for NV Energy. "Earth Day is a great way to raise awareness of our paperless billing option, which not only reduces our impact on the environment, but saves customers time and money."

Paperless billing is available by signing up as a MyAccount user at NVEnergy.com. Paperless billing features include an automatic email notification when the bill is due, online bill viewing and options to track payment history, conduct bill analysis and automatic bank deductions when the bill is due.

Once enrolled as a MyAccount user, customers will find even more ways to become energy efficient and save money. The site offers a Home Energy Audit tool that provides customized conservation tips based on users' personal habits and current usage.
